Fear of freedom

Fear of freedom

Our "I" difficult times, that is our ego - has long been tamed and is now totally dependent on civilization. It calmly, rationally, firmly. Ego believes the physical body by a simple addition to our brain. It monitors the life of feeling while separated from her. For the ego nature is only a set of different objects, it is simply different.

Ego defines freedom as a state of fury, frenzy, lack of control. He wants to tame our wild selves, manage and even destroy it. For our "I" living in difficult times, freedom seems dangerous, threatening and unpredictable. Some of us are afraid to even be in the nature - only because the house they feel "safe", as well as, for example, in the park or watching television. We ourselves are afraid of his own Wild "I".

Such a conflict between the desire for wild nature and our fear of her well cast in the National Park Ozernoi area where I live myself. This place can be considered a true paradise with lots of lakes, mountains, forests and spacious valleys. Park attracts 12 million tourists annually. Routes of forest and mountain trails are about 18 thousand miles. Nevertheless, in accordance with the indicators of Statistics, revealed that the average urban resident to walk per day less than 60 meters! These meters are located between his car, a cafeteria and shop. Except for a few very popular route of the Park, the majority of trails in it deserted. And at the same time, small town and village Ozernoi area is always crowded, travelers.

One of my friend, which led courses for mountain travelers, confessed that after she first arrived in the mountains in solitude, long tormented by her nightmares. Incidentally, many of my students at seminars confess that he was frightened at that moment, when out of sight disappear houses, roads and other objects of civilization. And this despite the fact that they are eager to go wander in the mountains. Our inner self is drawn to nature, but her ego is panicked.

Maybe we should somehow do away with our own fear, especially after we accept and understand? If we really want to be reunited with his wild self, then I think it makes sense to us to visit the places really wild. And do it better alone. (In fact, we never left alone because they relate to all things.)

In the words of Wordsworth: "Wildlife abounds in freedom." It has a healing effect on us, so it is vital to attend nature and to maintain mental health. Nature shows us the divinity of the land on the interrelatedness of all life. We feel united with all living on earth. Nature is something of a soothing balm, which helps us slow down our frantic pace and immerse themselves in a carefree period of time.

Gardens, parks and even farms are remarkable in themselves, but they do not have that healing power, which offers just the wildlife. But she really can nourish our soul. Taro spent two years in solitude in the countryside Walden Pond. And he opened up the knowledge, wisdom which still affects our minds and hearts. He said: "I went into the woods because I wanted to live in the present, only encounter with the most important aspects of life. I longed to know if I can learn what will give me a wild nature. I did this so that, when dying, do not realize suddenly that I had not lived. "

All that frees our spontaneity, passion and creativity, will help us be reunited with the Wild "I". This variety of dancing and beating drums, the loud singing of freedom and the most reckless lovemaking. But it probably also may occur only in an atmosphere of wild nature, where we ourselves become wild creatures. And then we begin to comprehend the depth of their own self, his heart and his soul.
