Deferral of sentencing

Deferral of sentencing

Postponement of sentencing, until you evaluate the various possibilities, - an effective means of solving problems. This will help avoid making a hasty decision and will find the best solution. Consider the problem of worrying you, which permits you can not find. This may be "external" problem (for example, whether to change jobs) or "internal" (loneliness). Describe it so clear and detailed as you can.

Realizing this problem, you probably tried - and pondered again - to take any specific decisions. Surely some of them were rejected, because your "logical thinking" came to the conclusion that they are not viable. Make a list of actions that you took or would take, and a list of actions that you were thinking, but rejected.

Perhaps some other solutions originated in your creative subconscious, but kept them for several reasons. Perhaps your "critic" hastily made negative conclusions too quickly, "trampled" certain ideas. Maybe your subconscious, even suggestions were not heard among the sounds of stereotypical judgments.

Mentally imagine, looks like your critic - one who expresses these judgments. Undoubtedly, this is a harsh personality, which is appalling failure and ridicule, which is afraid even seem silly or frivolous. Undoubtedly, this critic has already appeared on stage during the previous two sessions on our course, to warn you from wasting precious time on "childish games. (Your generous critic might use even sharper definition.) Now, draw its exact shape. If possible, please provide it in the form of a small creature. This exercise is much easier to implement when dealing with a creature of small size. Now lift it into the air and move to the ladder located on your right. It is securely based on the cross-bar in the center of the room. Climb the stairs and cling to their "pet", and place it on top of the chandelier. Chandelier made of solid steel and can neither shake nor break, she will serve as a temporary "jail" for your monsters, and fuddy-duddy.

Now climb down and move the ladder from the chandeliers. Return to your original problem. The critic can not hear any of your thoughts from such a height and, consequently, would not give comments. Revise the problem and make a list of all the other options for its solution, now come to mind. It does not matter, since some of them sound stupid, or you think that someone could object to them, or there is some new problem. Write down all the solutions come to mind, even if you think that you will never use them.

Now again look at all these options. Shuffle each of them, easily keeping them in mind, consider ... Consider ... Does the it any other thoughts? What a surprise you ... what if ...?

Now take the pen in the non-dominant hand and make a few notes. Write down the ideas emerged. Any ideas should be welcomed. Do not forget that your subconscious can send an urgent message delivery, even when you're sitting here. Make sure you keep the door open receptivity during this time.

Today, a little later, you go and remove his criticism with chandeliers, so that it can function normally. (Do not follow the advice of the right hemisphere, without prior consultation with the left!) But now, just enjoy the freedom of imagining anything.
