Amazing Gifts

Strange balls appeared on the coast of Hampton, the East Coast USA, in June 2002. Tidal Wave was to make a myriad of green balls - soft, vaguely resembling a sponge and the size of a ball for tennis or golf. At a distance of approximately 300 meters or more literally the entire sandy beach was littered with such balls. There is a dispute arose, what it is and where?

In the debate had become involved and biologists seascapes, and resting on the beach, and random passers-by. Before no one here seen anything like it. - I can not even determine what is the origin of this thing - animal, or mineral, or some other, - says one of the local residents.

They can not yet determine the and members of the scientific "Marine Program" at the University of New Hampshire, which local reporters contacted by telephone. They will have this phenomenon has yet thoroughly explored. Local biologist Ellen Getelo, which just deals with marine flora and fauna in the environmental committee Hampton, carefully considered these strange objects. Many of them are perfectly round in shape, smell the ocean, but they do not have the characteristic smell of seaweed.

- To me, they seem to be made artificially, - says Ellen. And, thinking aloud, continues that, maybe they did not immediately become balls, and their run-sea, until they moved along the ocean floor toward the shore. - It could be synthetic threads such as those that made carpet, but then the sea rolled them into balls and washed ashore.

The books on the biology of the sea, Mrs. Getelo not find anything that would remind those green balls. And after talking with local fishermen, preshla to the conclusion that this is what that kind of seaweed. If so, it would be okay. But scientists fear the lady that if this is all the same plastic, which some fish or marine animals can swallow the ball.

- If the story will go, for example, in the stomach to the whales and will accumulate there, these marine mammals simply die of hunger. After all, whales are not able to digest such balls. They will feel that the stomach is full and stop eating, - says Getelo.

- Seals that there will not, because this stuff does not smell like fish. But some fish may be foolish enough to swallow what is not known. My first emotion when these balls appeared, was to go and immediately remove it all from beaches. One researcher from the company "Mapteh" that at Andover (Mass.), has other ideas. Examined under a magnifying glass fibers, Kevin Tumbli suggested:

"This, I think what that kind of phytoplankton, curled up in a skein. Of course, these little green balls that still remain a mystery, but hardly a long time. Scientists have certainly found out that it is. At least, they asked for samples and determined to explore all.

Around the same time, in June 2002, on the coast of the U.S. state of South Carolina sea threw what that silver ball with a diameter of about one meter. The authorities still can not understand what it is. Identify the discovery has already tried several reputable services. But in vain. The ball looks mysteriously like science fiction come from the movie.

In the end, the ball washed ashore, and alarmed residents called the police. Police and surrounded the entire stretch of coast and asked for help and to aviators and Coast Guard, and the local administration. Those, in turn, contacted NASA, and other similar agencies. But there is no response from anyone. Perhaps, what is a floating device. Possibly. The version of the attribution of the world what some excavation company rejected pretty quickly - in a balloon there is no hook or other device that allows to attach a rope or cable, or ribbon, and indeed that whatsoever.

Then, in early July 2002, it was reported news agency Associated Press that during transport the ball split in half. But it did not clear: simply because it led a certain number of sea water.

- There was nothing green or glowing, - said Ann Graham, chief of the fire service the island. - Maybe the ball just go for scrap. Mary Segner, whose family found the ball in front of his beach house on Palm Island, says that at first mistook him for menage a large beach ball, but once swam up to him to deliver to the shore, they found it too heavy. As for the UFO, they, to his great regret, they did not even look at the discovery - the ball was taken away. It was called "NGOs" - "an unidentified floating object." And this is something new in ufology.
