Try to see the bigger picture

Try to see the bigger picture

One of my clients used to spend his days, constantly escaping in the house. She carefully wiped the dust from furniture, carpets vacuumed, put out the trash, soap, bath and flooring in the kitchen, at least once a day. She kicked the pillow every time, as soon as someone got up from a chair or the sofa, and relentlessly pursued her baby with a damp cloth ready. I think it goes without saying that she did not get pleasure from the first years of life of their child, because too much has been busy bringing home to the ideal of purity. If she then asked why she does it, the woman would have been puzzled: is not every man wants to be home sparkling? But then, looking back, she realized that it would be better to relax and spend more time to her baby.

In every man's life come at times when he loses perspective and no longer notice the important things. He does not see the "forest", and observes only the "trees". Here you can define three main reasons:

? sometimes it means that your inner child, your natural self, something offended, and one way to dampen his painful feelings - it is always be busy, so in this case and the head was always full of something. Emotions move at a slower speed than thought, moreover, they need some time to "boil". Therefore, if you will move very quickly, so you can not catch up! But this comes at a price. It is tiring to try to escape from himself. In the end, you have to pay for it with their health or welfare;

? There are times when your ego seizes power over you and starts to drive you. Then you focus on little things, forgetting the main thing. This is reminiscent of the behavior of doctors and nurses at the hospital, who believed that everything would be great if it were not for the patients, or teachers, who himself sincerely believe that the only problem at the school are the students;

? possible and that you just never suspected the existence of a more general picture. Perhaps you have not thought about a higher purpose or their true dreams. That's why you have chosen a "decoy" to be, to aspire. In this way, a man was suffering from anorexia, which is becoming increasingly thin, not understanding why he needs it.

If you suddenly find yourself engaged in some kind of beat - for example, viewing all "junk" that you throw in your inbox, stroked twice their underwear daily by permutation of stationery on my desk, impeccably clean sparkling bathroom, trimming grass on the lawn, which looks more like a platform for the game of skittles, or aimlessly surf the Internet - stop and ask yourself: "What's happening?" Perhaps you're trying something to avoid? His painful feelings? Or you born an intuitive feeling that creeps you out? Or in your life is no direction and purpose? Have you no more decent employment?

I often ask myself: "Part of what a general is what I'm doing?" Whatever you're doing, ask yourself whether this is part of your Dreams or the supreme goal, or a way of developing higher quality, such as love or gratitude or you just like to do this business, and it really so important? If all of these questions you answer "No", then why are you all doing this?

If you learn to see the broader picture, you get the key to a more positive attitude to everything, what you do, from washing dishes and timely arrival at work.

I remember a case where a scientist was working long hours to develop a space station in Na S And in the early 70's. Suddenly his attention was drawn cleaner, scrub the floors in good faith after the fact, as the rest of the technical staff dispersed to their homes. He asked her what she was doing here. The woman stared at the scientist and said: "I am a man on the moon." That's what it means to "see a more comprehensive picture"!
