"Mapping": the creation of "cards" to describe the territory

"Mapping": the creation of "cards" to describe the territory

Bendler and Grinder believed that the establishment of internal "maps" of Peace (our "programs"), we use three of the modeling process. This deletion, generalization, and distortion, and they determine the way we aside from the area and transform it into a representative "map".

Omission

We are the omission of the fact that we can not process all the billions of bits of information, invade our nervous system at any given moment. It would be stunned us. Our sensory apparatus is also not allowing to enter all the data available. Our eyes see only a very narrow portion of the light spectrum. Our ears perceive only a very narrow range of sound frequencies. So, we are dealing with reality not directly but indirectly, through the brain and nervous system. We register only a small fraction of the incoming images, sounds, sensations, smells and tastes. Election information processing, our brain protects us. The omission becomes a problem only when we omit significant or important information.

Miller (Miller, 1956) in his classic work argued that consciousness has a limit, equal to 7 2 items of information at a time. This greatly limits our knowledge and our own. Therefore, in order for our "unconscious" managed perception, learning and the "software", they must become familiar. When we multiply a specific repeating pattern cogitative, he falls out of consciousness, as if we kept it unconsciously. In this model, consciousness is considered "the result of nervous system". Representation becomes conscious only when reaching a certain level of intensity. Knowledge can work from 7 2 elements of information at once (in the minds of the elements associated with the formation of the pattern of experience that we have not done unconscious), so when the information reaches the status of TOTE, she drops out of consciousness, freeing it for new information.

Synthesis

The excessive amount of information leads to the fact that we are making generalizations that are required to summarize patterns. Summarizing through categorization, organization, abstraction and transfer of knowledge to a higher level, we simplify the world. We make generalizations subsuming objects with similar functions, structure, nature, etc. into one category. Summing up, we rely on the Gestalt values, significant configuration and synthesis of information. We are looking for patterns, and when we find repeated from time to time experience, we often come to the conclusion that dealing with the pattern. This saves us time and avoids the problems, because we do not have to constantly face a new world. We make generalizations, to make to the world order and meaning, which is based on our ability to notice patterns similar syntax, content, form and meaning.

The distortion

When constructing models, we will inevitably distort information, descending, and synthesizing data. We take our territory through the filters of perception. When we build our programs, our "thought" (representative of) moving to a higher logical level as the beliefs, values and attitudes (a higher level of distortion). When we "see" what is the potential, we have distorted. When we allow some meaning or value, we have distorted. This simulation is neither good nor bad, just my nervous system in such processes and organizes the data. Hence, "color" does not exist in the outside world and within our nervous system.

Each form of distortion (eg, beliefs, values, perceptions) "organize" us. Ultimately, the format organizes itself psychologically distort our "substance", or personality (the way we think, perceive, feel, appreciate, believe and do). In other words, our "maps" reflexive in the sense that they shape us in His own image. Beliefs and values originating in "mapping", cause us "the state of consciousness", which, in turn, requires us to motivate and manage us. This creates a particularly our "identity" (Hall & Vodenhamer, 1997b) move on to reality. This explains why very intelligent people can commit stupid acts. They have an internal "map", which demanded it! Their "Map" "programs" or control their perception, behavior, communication skills, status, etc. If the "map" led to the omission of something significant, to the hasty generalization principle, rule or belief s, to the excessive distortion , then the program (strategy) can organize and motivate their unproductive manner.

As a result of omissions, distortions and generalizations?

Inside "map" world - a paradigm. We create this "stake" in order to move on to reality.

These processes and the knowledge we call strategies. When we "start brain", and the nervous system in some way structured and organized omissions, generalizations, distortions, etc., our brain is accustomed to "fall into the same place". He is developing a strategy or sequence of a representative system, to create the experience. For this reason, we say that every experience is an internal structure. Even in such disarray states, as madness, confusion, stress, procrastination, etc., there are some specific sensory plan.

Strategy is simply the formal description of what we are doing inside their head and nervous system to create a specific behavior, which consists of thoughts, emotions, beliefs, values, conditions, skills, experience, communication or something else. All kinds of behavior (learning, memory, motivation, choice, communication, change, etc.) are systematically ordered sequence of sensory representations.

Each form of distortion (eg, beliefs, values, perceptions) "organize" us.

All kinds of behavior (learning, memory, motivation, choice, communication, change, etc.) are systematically ordered sequence of sensory representations.

Conclusion

In this simple introduction to the concept of constituting "consciousness", "person" and the subjective experience of a person described integral elements of our behavior. Now we are interested in how these elements come together and combine to create a "subjective experience".HYPNOSIS
