10 stages of initiation

(Excerpt from the Gate of Initiation)

Education Body Magic (IV)

The basic principle of the rituals is to confirm an idea, a way of thinking outside way to signal, or vice versa - an idea or a thought process to cause a certain gesture or action, to put hermetically - evoked. This principle is the basis of all magic rituals. This says that not every idea (and not every creature) can be expressed in external action, but you can associate a particular task. What does and does not get a special name, a symbol, or an external sign, and has no value. In this thesis, the original basis for all processes and magical rituals, every religious system has from ancient times their specific religious activities. The only difference is that the overwhelming majority of people were available only a little of it, the ground is kept in the strictest confidence and meant only priests invested with a high rank, and dedication.

Each ritual has its own special purpose it serves, no matter whether it's Tibetan lamas, or priests, the fingers on the situation of Bali, on the east of the cult or ritual incantations of magicians. Synthesis remains the same. In the practice of law as evidence of the truth of the testimony solemnly raised a hand with three fingers is also considered as a magical gesture. From a Christian point of view, three raised fingers symbolize the Trinity - Trinity. Any of the many lodges and sects have their own rituals. For example, the lodge of Freemasons associated with a specific character, word and gesture. Much can be said on this subject and from a historical point of view. But for the practicing magician, as well as for learning such magical knowledge was absolutely useless. To the true magician no effect, if he, for example, read in various books, as a magician outlines his magic circle, the symbol of which he regards as infinity, divinity, and integrity, and to protect it carries its geniuses and angels, or as a lama draws his mandala and in their rituals puts his Tathagata as the guardian deities. He does not need those alien instructions, he knows that they function as just a bunch of ideas and support for the memory of the spirit.

On this the fourth stage magician learns the art of creating their own rituals, religious actions, gestures and finger position. It all depends on his personality and the ability to perceive. So some magicians most primitive rituals do better than the most sophisticated philosophical speculator cult activities. We can not identify any clear guidelines, the student must act intuitively and every idea, every line of thought, as well as the fact that he wants to carry out, should be able to express themselves to the usual gesture, finger position or ritual. Of course, the gesture of blessing, he will not be compressed to express how to attack with his fist. Depending on the situation and the situations in which it is located, it will create a nondescript ritual, which he could use a secret, no one watched.
