Lesson 23 Part 4

We all strive to receive the award "Oscar" for the role we give to the life!

EXERCISE 11. What is a man? What are the women?

I suggest you conduct your own research on this issue. Make a list of the above statements, changing their order. Then have this list a few people and ask them to include each statement to the appropriate category.

Let him answer that represents each statement - scientific truth, misleading or hypothesis.

Calculate what percentage of accuracy of the answers have your subjects. Install also changes if the accuracy of answers, depending on gender. Think as to whether the participant experiment exactly the same questions about his own and the opposite sex.

Make a comparison table of the results: Name, sex, percentage of overall accuracy (out of 23 questions), the percentage of accuracy in the statements relating to their own sex (remember that each statement can be read as if from two points of view), the percentage of accuracy of statements relating to the opposite sex.

Summarize the findings. Have you thought over what could be in this exercise

Your own accuracy rate?

You've seen the studies of differences between the sexes, had

own experiment or have more observations. And what are your conclusions?

Approaching the problem objectively, it should be noted that many of the common beliefs related to psychological characteristics of both sexes, based on very modest results of scientific research, and some do not have those.

One possible explanation for why these are saved everyday (non-scientific) beliefs is to set (a person's predisposition to perceive or behave in a certain way), which is manifested in the fact that the observer observes the behavior observed that and wanted to see, to the same party social groups often behave according to the expectations of the observer. Thus, the initial belief is supported by the observer confirmed. If an individual's behavior does not match expectations, it will be ignored or interpreted to fit the original views. This is typical especially for observers who are convinced of the correctness of his views and observations of the opposite sex. The myths that would have to wither away under the pressure of evidence, continue to live among us.

Do you have a great chance to not believe the myths, to avoid serious threats to live in harmony with yourself and with your partner. The partner link is wonderful and important - you can use this
chance!
